ready to leave

so this is a bit late, and by a bit i mean about 3 months, but anyhow… this bike is (was) finally ready to leave.

Big thanks to my brother for donating a new front rim to replace the cracked one (see previous) post.

As you can see in the picture, i have a new pair of Dunlop  Rallye Raid tyres, the front is already fitted and the rear i’ll carry until the current rear is worn out completely.

This crate from a Yamaha Super Tenere 1200 was the perfect size for the ktm, i just needed to redrill the holes that attach the top part of the frame to pallet (25mm higher) and everything fits neatly.

The front axle support also needed to be narrowed as the Yamaha fork spacing is much wider than the ktm, simple job though.

It would be really nice to be able to store the crate when i get to Chile, and use it again to ship home, so i guess i’ll need to make some friends fast when i get there.
